Remember the Rooster Party at Bella Vista? I bet Barb is still picking up feathers after that wild bash! Some of my favorites were the vintage roosters from way back. I think this bad boy qualifies!
He's a bit chippy, but hey, I'm no spring chicken so I don't mind! Guess where he was roosting? The Goodwill Store of course. I guess Goodwill hasn't caught on to the chippy farm animal craze 'cause he was a mere...$1.50. Cock-a-doodle-doo!
I've blogged about the way this recession has hit our community before and one of the several stores we lost was Mervyn's. It was one of the big anchor stores at our small, local mall. Last week we got some new life with the grand opening of Kohl's in its place. The parking lot has been packed for a week. I finally had time to shop and found some good deals. One of which is red and comes from the queen of southern cooking! I'll share it next week when I get my kitchen all prettied up to show it off.
My other finds were in the place mat aisle. 5o% Off!
It was hard photographing them because I kept getting weird lines from the texture. If you click to enlarge them it doesn't show as much.
