For a 20 year old paratrooper who attended my son's high school and was laid to rest in the nearby foothills this past Saturday.
For those at Fort Hood who were in harm's way.
For the family members of Gloria and Dee Dee who are stationed at Fort Hood and are safe.
This is the first time I can remember local schools actually closing on Veteran's Day instead of taking a Monday or Friday for a three day weekend. I had planned to take my children to the parade Wed. but a nasty respiratory bug as hit us all. I hope many of you can share photos of the ceremonies in your towns and cities.
I had hoped to visit everyone today but I'm afraid I'm not up to it so I'll be by in few days.
